			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Abduwali Abdukhadir Muse, one of the Somali <a href="http://gcaptain.com/maritime/blog/usa-vs-abduwali-abdukhadir/" target="_blank">pirates accused of hijacking the <em>Maersk Alabama</em></a> has been indicted on 10 counts.  The charges are:  piracy, possession of a machine gun while seizing a ship by force, hostage-taking, conspiracy to commit hostage-taking, possession of a machine gun during hostage-taking, kidnapping, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and possession of a machine gun during kidnapping.</p>
<p>Muse is to be arraigned on Thursday in Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York.  Eight of the ten counts carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.</p>
